We whites, like everyone, have to live with different terms as they change through influences like schools, MSM, workplace. Yes, we were taught "Black" instead of "Negro", "African-American" instead of "Black", "Person of Color" instead of "African American". A kid could get beat

There are exceptions. You have the Nation of Islam (very racist) for example. But the word “black” isn’t something we, African Americans up with! We were tribes, saw each other tribally not racially  — Atlantic Slave Trade changed that ... white folk started calling us “black”.
