scorned. Once we were late to a motel to meet my mother. She was so angry she was about to let us have it verbally but just at that instant, a transformer burst into flames on the second floor of the motel. #Hairdryers?
My mother didn't seem at all surprised nor did she feel particularly responsible, but her point was made. She didn't have to yell at me for being late.
