My in-laws get together and speak of "My Father said..." when they are siblings talking to one another. As if one sibling had a special relationship with their father unlike that of one of the other siblings, so much so that they each have their own father.
Our great-uncle, general manager of the warriors until his death on the eve of the NBA draft circa 1976, Bob Feerick. He met President Harry Truman in 1949 after the Washington Capitols won the professional basketball championship.
